Remuneration Committee

The Remuneration Committee is a formal Sub-Committee of the Governing Body of NHS Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and has delegated executive powers as specified within its Terms of Reference.

The purpose/role of the Committee will be to have the responsibility of reviewing and monitoring those risks within the Governing Body Assurance Framework appropriate to the remit of Committee, ensuring that any identified risks allocated to the Committee are actioned appropriately and that assurances are sought. It will also be responsible for providing assurance to the Governing Body that all corporate duties in relation to this agenda are compliant and in line with corporate aims and objectives.

The Remuneration Committee is responsible for making recommendations on determinations about:

  • matters and determinations about pay, fees, other allowances and remuneration of CCG employees on Agenda for Change (AfC) and non-AfC contracts. This will include:
  • all aspects of salary (including any performance-related elements/ bonuses)
  • provisions for other benefits, including pensions and cars
  • arrangements for termination of employment and other contractual arrangements.
