Improved Access to General Practice

Following an invitation to tender procurement process, we have appointed Vernova Healthcare, the Eastern Cheshire GP federation, to provide the Eastern Cheshire Improved Access to General Practice service, with a start date of 1 October 2018 and a contract length of six months.  Under this initial contract the provider is required to provide 104 hours of general practice extended access across Eastern Cheshire.  Vernova is working with the local Eastern Cheshire GP practices in providing this service.  The CCG is looking to use the first six months (Oct18-Mar19) as a test-bed to understand better what additional General Practice services are most required locally and which services are viable.  Further information on the provision of this service can be found here.
