Contracts and Procurement

NHS Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) procures services from a range of providers. Contracts vary from small one-off purchases to large works or service contracts.

When procuring services we ensure fair opportunity, competition and value for money.

The form of procurement we use varies depending on the nature of the product or service being procured but can include Any Qualified Provider competitive and non-competitive tendering.

We follow public procurement regulations and guidelines when determining the form of procurement and our approach.

The regulations mean we cannot favour providers simply because they are already in contract with us, an NHS organisation, located in our area, or employing local people.

Monitor is the sector regulator for health services in England. It aims to protect and promote the interests of patients by ensuring that the whole sector works for their benefit.

The CCG adheres to the guidance which Monitor produce. Further information can be found here.

Closure of Supply2Health

Historically, all health related contract opportunities have been advertised on Supply2Health.

The Supply2Health website closed on Friday 21st March 2014, and has been replaced by the centralised Government website, Contracts Finder

Providers will therefore no longer receive alerts from Supply2Health advising of forthcoming procurements or events in their local area.

In order to continue to receive alerts about providing health related services to any part of the NHS, or joint commissioning services which would affect other Government bodies or organisations, for example, Local Authorities, you will need to register on Contracts Finder at
