Governing Body

PREVIOUS MEETING: 24 MAY 2017

NEXT MEETING: 28 JUNE 2017

The Governing Body of NHS Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group holds meetings in public every month. Members of the public are welcome to attend the Governing Body meetings (previously known as "Board Meetings").

Although meetings are held in public the meetings are not a public meeting. Members of the public are invited to listen to the Governing Body's discussions, observe the decision-making process and have the opportunity to formally raise a question to the Governing Body at the invitation of the Chair within the Public Speaking Section of the meeting.

Every other month, following the completion of the Governing Body meeting, members of the public are also invited to attend an informal meeting with Governing Body members where there is an opportunity to raise questions or concerns. Members of the public need not have attended the formal Governing Body meeting beforehand and are welcome to attend just for this informal question and answer session.

The Agenda and supporting papers for each Governing Body meeting are made available on this website to the public in the week before the date of the meeting. Questions raised and answers provided in the informal question and answer sessions are also published on the CCG website.

Raising a question/concern - note: It is not a requirement to give notice of the intention to make use of public speaking provision, however, as a matter of courtesy, it is requested that members of the public provide at least three clear working days notice in writing to the Head of Corporate Services and include the question and any supporting information with that notice. This will provide the opportunity to undertake, where necessary, any background research so as to enable the most informed answer to be given.
