Celebrations in Eastern Cheshire

Macclesfield Park Run

On 9 June there was the big parkrun #NHS70 celebration. There was more than 300 parkruns involved including Macclesfield! As well as celebrating the 70th birthday of our amazing NHS, new participants, including NHS staff, were encouraged to get more involved in physical activity and volunteering.

'Parkrun for the NHS' was the perfect way to increase awareness of parkrun amongst the health service while at the same time paying tribute to the enormous contribution of NHS staff.
