Why Consult?

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 introduced significant amendments to the NHS Act 2006, especially with regard to how NHS commissioners will function. These amendments include two complementary duties for Clinical Commissioning Groups with respect to patient and public participation. For more information click here or download to the right.

NHS Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group is committed to consulting its stakeholders and the wider public in the shaping and development of its policies and services.

This page will give you access to ongoing consultations, past consultations and the outcomes and responses to our patient consultations. We will also highlight partner or national consultations where there will be an impact to/on our local population.

Your opinions count! We urge as many people as possible to take part in any of  the consultations highlighted as we believe that local people should be at the heart of decision making and that there should be 'no decisions about me, without me.'

For more information, call communications manager Charles Malkin or engagement and involvement officer Julia Hulland-Vernon on 01625 663824. Alternatively, you can email them as follows: or
