The November meeting of HealthVoice took place on the 21st November at The Hall at Marthall. 

Members of HealthVoice were given an update on NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG in terms of governance arrangements, stroke services update and visit to Kaiser Permanente. 

The Chair of HealthVoice, Trevor Lerman enabled a discussion with the group around the development of Patient Participation Groups within GP practices locally. 

As part of the development of HealthVoice, a number of themed subgroups hae been setup to develop activity in between meetings to further support the work of the CCG and to the benefit of patients. These subgroups are illustrated below: 

  • Seldom heard group
  • Care Homes
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Urgent Care Group

It is important that HealthVoice members are kept updated with regional programmes of work that will affect. Jim Britt, the Cheshire lead for NHS 111 commissioning came along to the group to discuss NHS 111 progress in Eastern Cheshire and the next steps. 

HealthVoice members were also given an overview of the work that the Public Engagement Manager, Rebecca Patel has undertaken in relation to children and young people. Translating the children and young people's strategy into a document written and owned by young people. You can view the video below:
