Green light for new mental health services

Plans to improve the care of more than 7,000 people who need support every year with serious, long-term mental health problems have received the green light. The enhanced community services will include a new dementia outreach service and 24/7 crisis care, alongside modern inpatient facilities for those who require hospital care.

Health Matters - Last chance to comment on mental health redesign

We're holding a four-week consultation until 21 December on one part of our plans to redesign specialist mental health services for adults and older people in Eastern Cheshire, South Cheshire and Vale Royal.

Following consideration, any subsequent amendments agreed by the consulting partners will be reflected in the chosen model, Option 2 Plus, and progressed to implementation.

Mental health services set to be transformed

The local NHS has approved plans to transform care for people who experience severe mental ill health. The decision will pave the way for greatly enhanced community services including a dementia outreach service, 24/7 crisis service and crisis care beds.
